During the much needed holiday break, I finally had some free time to relax and pursue non-work related interests. So while I was able to wean myself from the computer for most of the break, I couldn’t ignore the fact that I’ve neglected this site since I obtained the domain. So after a few late night dabblings, I decided it was time to bite the bullet.

I originally wanted to revamp the site using Drupal 6 (especially given the fact that I play a Drupal developer on daytime TV), but I decided to explore Wordpress for the interim. Having meddled with Movable Type for my defunct TullyVision Studios site, as well as previous experiences with the likes of WordPress and TextPattern, I was interested in seeing how far Wordpress had come. I think it’s also helpful to gain another perspective on user interface and functionality, as we so often go through the day looking through a narrow lens. So far I’m rather pleased with Wordpress’ interface and ease of use.

As a form of blog therapy, my intent is to post an unfiltered account of the things that go on inside my head. Ok, so maybe some filtering is inevitable, but as an insufferable self-editor my goal is to lighten up and loosen the reins

Most likely I’ll post about things I like and things I don’t (pure genius!). But in between the trite and trivial I hope to discover some notes of wisdom. I may even surprise myself. At the very least I’ll try to share some lessons learned from a beagle named Murphy (RIP). For 10 wonderful years he blessed our lives with joy, love and companionship.

Murph, if you’re reading this — we miss you buddy!
